"Vindication."
This drawing captures Nigel Mansell in the Williams FW11B Honda en route to a famous victory in the 1987 British GP, possibly the most significant in Mansell's career. In a race dominated by his then-double World Champion team mate and most vocally abusive critic, Nelson Piquet, Mansell delivered a racing masterclass. He hunted Piquet down throughout the race and, with 3 laps remaining, sold Piquet the most outrageous dummy to sweep past the Brazilian at Stowe in a teeth-clenching manoeuvre.
Originally rendered in pencil and pastel by fine artist Mark J Davey, this piece is reproduced using specialist, fine art giclee printing methods.
Limited to 50 numbered examples and is shipped with a Certificate of Authenticity signed by the artist.
