The Eagle Mk1 (also known as the Eagle T1G) was a Formula One racing car built by Dan Gurney's own team, Anglo American Racers (AAR), and designed by Len Terry. It debuted in 1966 and became iconic in motorsport history. The car was initially powered by a 2.7-liter Coventry Climax inline-4 engine for its first few races. However, it was specifically engineered around a bespoke 3.0-liter Gurney-Weslake V12 engine (Type 58), a naturally aspirated unit developed in collaboration with Weslake Engineering. This smooth, powerful V12 (with four valves per cylinder and a 60-degree vee layout) gave the car its distinctive high-revving sound and performance.Dan Gurney himself drove the Eagle-Weslake to its greatest achievement: victory at the 1967 Belgian Grand Prix at Spa-Francorchamps. This win made Gurney one of only a handful of drivers (alongside Jack Brabham and Bruce McLaren) to win a World Championship F1 race in a car they personally constructed and drove. It also marked the only victory by a fully American-built car in F1 history (to date), with an American driver at the wheel—often celebrated as a landmark for U.S. involvement in the sport. The Eagle Mk1 is widely regarded as one of the most beautiful F1 cars ever made, thanks to its elegant lines, distinctive "beak" nose (reminiscent of the Ferrari 156 "sharknose"), and overall graceful proportions.Only a small number (four) of these F1-spec Eagle Mk1 chassis were built, and they were also driven by others like Bob Bondurant and Phil Hill in various events. The car had some engineering quirks (like oil scavenging issues due to the engine's length and sump placement), but when it worked, it was competitive against the best of Europe.Historic examples still appear at events, with videos of the Weslake V12 starting up and running often described as sounding Ferrari-like or simply glorious.

Only 50 of these numbered giclee prints will be made available, all come with a COA direct from the artist Mark J Davey
